Jannah (Arabic: جنّة) is the Islamic name for paradise.

The Arabic form Jannah simply means Garden.

Jannah itself is commonly described in the Qur’an. The highest level of Jannah is Firdaws (فردوس), which is where the prophets, the martyrs and the most truthful and pious people will dwell. In contrast to Jannah, the words Jahannam is used to refer to the concept of hell. A dweller of Jannah is called a Jannati.
